
Delaney Dam (mezzo-soprano) is a local of Waterloo and is now pursuing her Master of Music Performance in Opera at the University of Toronto under the guidance of Wendy Nielsen. Delaney is an accomplished performer, having recently performed as the Witch in Hansel and Gretel (Grand River Opera) and Cherubino in Le nozze di Figaro (Opera Laurier).
Delaney's musical passion extends beyond the opera stage. She sings in numerous choirs and choral projects, including the annual spring premieres of Canadian composer Justin Lapierre's choral pieces. For her second consecutive season, Delaney will again join the Grand River Chorus as a Next Generation Emerging Artist.


Delaney's commitment to her craft is unwavering, driven by a desire to savour the intricate process of making music and sharing the stories that come from it with her audiences. When Delaney is not performing, she enjoys teaching voice and violin from her home studio and manages and plays violin for Spiccata Strings, both businesses she founded.
